The Garden House sits on the grounds of Look Memorial Park at 300 North Main Street in Florence, MA — a village within Northampton. Originally built in 1930 as the Look Park pool building and restored to its Mission Style character in 1999, the Garden House is one of the most charming and consistently praised wedding venues in Hampshire County. Ornate chandeliers hang from exposed wooden rafters, mahogany paneling lines the walls, a large stone fireplace anchors the room, and French doors open onto the park grounds.
The main ballroom accommodates up to 175 guests with a built-in 15x18 foot dance floor. From May through October, a 40x60 tent in the adjacent courtyard adds seating for up to 200 additional guests — bringing total combined capacity to 375. Couples who want to use Look Park for the ceremony have several stunning options: the Pines Theater, a stone amphitheater where Bob Dylan once performed; the Sanctuary at Willow Lake, which seats up to 150; or the Victorian Gazebo for intimate ceremonies of up to 25.
The Garden House provides an event manager with every rental — we coordinate closely with their team well in advance of your day and stay in sync throughout, so every cue lands on time and every transition is seamless.
